                Missouri's Cattlemen Foundation Scholarship

                Deadline: September 30

                1. Applicant must be a Missouri resident and a current paid member of the Missouri Junior Cattlemen’s Association or the parent/legal guardian must be a current paid member of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association.
                2. Applicant must submit three (3) letters of recommendation. Letters should be included with the application.
                3. Applicant must not have previously received a full ($1,000 or above) Missouri’s Cattlemen Foundation Scholarship.
                4. Applicant must be a high school senior or a full-time college student and have a GPA of 2.5/4.0 or better. Applicant must have been a full-time student (high school or college) the previous year and not have reached their 23rd birthday by January 1, 2017. Emphasis will be given to these degree programs: Agribusiness Management, Agriculture Economics, Agriculture Education, Agriculture Journalism, Agriculture Systems Management, Animal Science, General Agriculture, Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition and Plant Science.
                5. Applicant must submit, with the application, the most recent available high school or college transcript to Missouri's Cattlemen Foundation for proof of grade point average and enrollment.
                6. Applicant must demonstrate leadership potential through extracurricular activities and work experiences.
                7. Preference may be given to students who plan to/are attending Missouri colleges and universities. Preference will also be given to those who have a need for financial assistance.
                8. Missouri’s Cattlemen Foundation Scholarship Committee will review applications and all applicants will be notified regarding the committee’s decision by mail on or before November 24th, 2017. Scholarship recipients will be honored during the Missouri Cattle Industry Convention & Trade Show on January 5-7, 2018 at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia, Missouri.
                9. Unless otherwise noted, all Missouri’s Cattlemen Foundation scholarships will be $1,000.
                10. Scholarships will be payable during the calendar year 2018. To redeem scholarship, recipients must provide Missouri’s Cattlemen Foundation with proof of college enrollment. Funds for scholarships will be sent directly to the recipients’ institutions. In the event a recipient does not use all of the funding, the unused portion shall be returned to Missouri's Cattlemen Foundation.
                11. All scholarship donor agreements presented to the MCF for approval must be consistent with the mission and policy of MCF. The MCF board may grant exceptions to these overall guidelines.

                Wendy's High School Heisman Award

                1. Students whose senior year of high school is the 2017–2018 academic year, graduating with the class of 2018.
                2. Students who have at least a “B” grade average (3.0 GPA) during grades 9, 10, and 11.
                3. Students who participate in at least one of 47 Wendy’s High School Heisman recognized sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee or the National Federation of State High School Associations.
                4. Students who have participated in volunteer service, community involvement or leadership within his/her school or community.

                AES Engineers Scholarship

                • Will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluated the essays that are submitted.
                • Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.

                Horatio Alger Scholarship

                4. Must have scored 23 or higher on the ACT (Composite Score); or, must have scored 1110 on the SAT (Reading and Math).
                5. Must enroll in a four year college the first semester after high school.
                6. Must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to start of college.
                7. Must complete the FAFSA in 2014 using 2013 Tax Return Information.
                8. Must provide a complete copy of the FAFSA Student Aid Report (5 or 6 pages.)
                9. FAFSA Expected Family Contribution (EFC) must be less than $7,500.

                FFA SCHOLARSHIPS

                  • Each year the National FFA Organization awards approximately $2 million in scholarships designed to fit the diversity of our applicants. Scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individuals through the National FFA Foundation and are given for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans. The selection process takes into account the whole student - FFA involvement, work experience, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics.
                  • Cargill, Dean Foods, Foundation for Environmental Agriculture, Iowa Interstate Railroad Ltd., National Mastitis Council and Rose Acre Farms scholarships are available to non-members. Check their guidebook descriptions to see if you qualify. (FFA uses one online application for members and non-members. Applicants will be directed to the appropriate questions based on membership response.)

                Union Plus Scholarships

                Deadline: January 31

                • Current and retired members of participating unions, their spouses and their dependent children (as defined by IRS regulations). Note, grandchildren are not eligible unless the grandchild is a legal dependent (as defined by IRS regulations) of the union member.
                • At least one year of continuous union membership by the applicant, applicant's spouse or parent (if applicant is a dependent). The one year membership must be satisfied by May 31, 2021.
                • Union members do not have to purchase any Union Plus program product or participate in any Union Plus programs to apply for the scholarships and scholarship awards are not based upon participation in a Union Plus program.
                • The applicant must be accepted into a U.S. accredited college or university, community college or technical or trade school at the time the award is issued. Awards must be used for the 2021-2022 school year.

                • Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest and intention of entering a career in agriculture or a closely related field.
                • The applicant's character, reputation, and personal life, as evidenced by references, or by inquiry, will be of a high quality, reflecting a high likelihood of success in their academic pursuits.
                • Scholarship funds will be credited to the student's account at the school they attend following completion of the first semester after receiving the scholarship. Approval of such credit requires an overall 2.0 GPA or above. Scholarship recipients must provide a copy of first semester grades to the Camden County Farm Bureau office at the above address.
                • Additional criteria that will be judged are, academic honors and awards, rank in class, and test scores (ACT/SAT).
                • Applicats must include with their applications a minimum or two (2) letters of recommendation from individuals not related to the applicant.
                • Dependents of the Camden County Farm Bureau Scholarship Committee are not eligible for scholarship.

                  • Be a current year high school graduating senior.
                  • Have been enrolled in and attended a Head Start pre-school program.

                    • Student must be a senior graduating from an accredited public school in Camden County (Camdenton R-III, Climax Springs R-IV, Macks Creek R-V, Stoutland R-II)
                    • The student must complete the CCRT&SP Scholarship application
                    • The student must be pursuing a four-year degree in eduation.
                    • The scholarship amount will fluctuate based on the chapter finances.
                    • The student will be selected by the Scholarship Committtee, made up of three memebers appointed by the Chapter Officers.
                    • The scholarship will be presented at the school's award assembly.
                    • The scholarship check will be presented to the student and parent/guardian at a summer meeting of CCRT&SP.
                    • The scholarship check will be made payable to the student after proof of enrollment.

                Merrell University of Beauty Arts and Science Scholarship

                • Must be at least 17 years of age at time of enrollment.
                • Must be of good moral character and have demonstrated good citizenship in high school
                • Must be in the upper 50% of high school graduating class.
                • Must indicate an interest in hair designing and have creative, artistic ability or indicate an interest in spa services and skincare.
                • Must consent to an interview with the Director of Admissions prior to scholarship award.
                • Must obtain two letters of recommendation (one from a school official), along with a copy of high school transcript; and
                • Must fill out an application for admission.

                Midwest Technical Institute Welding Scholarship Competition

                Date: April 7
                • All participants receive a $500 scholarship
                • First place is a $10,000 scholarship
                • Second place is a $5000 scholarship
                • Third place is a $2500 scholarship


                Deadline: April 12

                Amount: $250

                • Must have participated in athletics or music for at least two years. One of the two years must be the student's senior year
                • Students must submit the application, a resume, and a sealed letter of reference from the coach or sponsor.
                • The Booster Club reserves the right to waive any of the requirements for the scholarship.
                • Paper copies may be received from the high school counselor or electronic copies may be emailed by contacting the counselor or through the counseling web page.
                • Two scholarships will be awarded for the amount of $250 and will be distributed upon the second semester of enrollment. The Booster club will determine the number and amount of scholarships given each year.
                • Students must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA their senior year.
                • The scholarship committee will consist of a three member committee from the Booster Club, a MCHS counselor, and a MCHS administrator. The Booster Club reserves the right to make any changes to the committee that it sees fit.
                • Applications must be submitted to the high school counselor by the end of school on April 14. No late applications will be accepted.
                • This scholarship is not based on financial need.

                Ava's Grace Scholarship

                Deadline: April 15

                • The Ava's Grace Scholarship Foundation is a one-of-a-kind non-profit organization with a vision of higher education and work force development for children of incarcerated parents. AGSF's mission is to stop the cycle of incarceration through the gift of higher education.
                • Scholars will be chosen based on financial need, academic potential and strength of character.

                PORCH SCHOLARSHIP

                Deadline: APRIL 16 

                Amount: $2000

                • You must be 18 years or over and currently be enrolled as a high school senior, or in a community college, undergraduate, graduate, technical college, or vocational program, or be planning to enroll in a high school, community college, undergraduate, graduate, technical college, or vocational program during the 2019-2020 academic program in the United States.
                • You must have a minimum 3.4 GPA.
                • You must be pursuing a degree that enables you or others in your community to learn a new trade, develop skills and technology, or start a small business related to home services offered by Porch.


                Deadline: April 20

                Amount: $1000

                • Student must be a resident of Missouri.
                • Applicants must be under the age of 21, unmarried, and a descendant of a veteran with at least ninety days active service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. a photocopy of the veteran's DD214, discharge or separation notice must accompany the scholarship application.
                • One scholarship is given to a boy who has attended a full session of the American Legion Boys State of Missouri or a full session of the Department's Cadet Patrol Academy.
                • One scholarship is given to a girl who has attended a full session of The American Legion Auxiliary's Girls State program or a full session of the Department's Cadet Patrol Academy.

                Amount: $750

                • Student must be a resident of Missouri.
                • Applicants must be under the age of 21, unmarried, and a descendant of a veteran with at least ninety days active service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. a photocopy of the veteran's DD214, discharge or separation notice must accompany the scholarship application.
                • Must be training to become a registered nurse.
                • Must have graduated in the top 40% of class or have a "C" or equivalent standing from their last college or university semester.

                The American Legion/Charles L. Bacon Memorial Scholarship

                Deadline: April 20

                Amount: $500

                • Must be a current member of the American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary, or the Sons of the American Legion, or a descendant of a member of any thereof.
                • Must be unmarried, a resident of Missouri, under the age of 21, and use the scholarship as a full-time student in an accredited college or university.

                The American Legion/Erman W. Taylor Memorial Scholarship

                Deadline: April 20

                Amount: $500

                • Must plan to obtain a degree in education
                • Must be a descendant of a veteran who served 90 or more days of active duty in the armed forces and having an honorable discharge
                • Must be a Missouri resident and use the award as a full-time student at an accredited college or university
                • Must provide a copy of the discharge certificate for the veteran on whose the application is made.
                • Must submit an essay of 500 words or less.

                The American Legion/Shane Dean Voyles Memorial Scholarship

                Deadline: April 20

                Amount $500

                • Student must be a resident of Missouri.
                • Applicants must be under the age of 21, unmarried, and a descendant of a veteran with at least ninety days active service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. a photocopy of the veteran's DD214, discharge or separation notice must accompany the scholarship application.
                • Each school in the state of Missouri may nominate one student to be considered.
                • The nominee will be selected on athletic, scholastic, and leadership abilities.
                • The nominee should be deeply involved in community and school activities.
                • Must use the award as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.

                • Preference given to students with financial need
                • Students going to trade school, cosmetology school, etc. encouraged to apply.
                • *Scholarship must be received by May 1st, turn in to Mr. Knutter by April 24th to be mailed.

                MAY DEADLINE


                Deadline: May 1

                  • Available for student/athletes within the Lake of the Ozarks Area who wish to pursue higher education in a field of study that would eventually provide assistance to students who require special needs.
                  • Must be turned in to Mr. Knutter by May 1.

                June Deadline

                Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program

                Deadline: June 12

                • Available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.
