The Lady Pirates improved to 3-1 on the season with a convincing 45-8 win over the visiting Hornets from Hermitage. India Willis hit her average on the season leading all scorers with 18 points, pulling down 9 rebounds (7 offensive) and 11 steals for a double-double. Emma Seaholm dominated the paint with her first double double, scoring 12 points and adding 10 rebounds. Brooklyn Duggan hit back to back 3’s in the third quarter and finished with 9 points and 5 assists. Ashlee Klinksick added 4 points and a season high 4 assists while Katie Brown had 2 points to round out the scoring.

On the boys side the Pirates struggles continued against a much improved Hermitage team as they fell for the third time this season 27-45. The Pirates came out strong in the third quarter closing the gap to 6 points but the turnover bug hit hard again and could get no closer. Despite an ankle injury which sidelined Mason Stoner for the entire 2nd and 3rd quarters, he gutted out the final frame scoring 8 of his team high 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Hunter Cullen added 7 points and 6 rebounds and Kyler Gabriel chipped in 5 points.
