Prevention Day

Our Prevention Day program is going to be November 6th this year. Our Prevention Day program is designed to help students understand the negative impact some of our decisions can have not only on our life right now, but our future selves as well. We also strive to instill healthy choices and a healthy lifestyle. Our goal is to help each student be the absolute best version of themselves and we hope our Prevention Day program can help achieve this goal.

This year we will have fourteen speakers from organizations across the state, including the Camden County Sheriff’s Department, Compass Health, Think First Missouri, Lake Regional Health System, the Highway Patrol, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), and Citizens Against Domestic Violence (CADV). They will be  address topics such as the dangers of Drug Addiction, Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems, Self-Harm, Suicide Prevention, Human Trafficking and Internet Safety, Bullying, Driving Safety, Health and Injury Prevention, and the dangers of Underage Drinking.

Parents are welcome to attend. If you would like additional information, please contact Mr. Knutter at 573-363-5911 x 131 or cknutter@mackscreekpirates.org. If you would prefer your child not participate in the Prevention Day program, please fill out the form in the Documents tab or pick one up at the high school and return to the office by November 5th.
