Pirate Park, a universal design, fully accessible playground for ALL children and families, is one step closer to becoming a reality. The Camden County Park Board will host an event to showcase the new playground at Old Kinderhook Lodge in the Hearth Room on April 30th at 5:30 PM. The new playground design and development is the result of a joint effort with the Camden County Commission, Camden County Developmental Disabilities Resources, Camden County residents, and Unlimited Play, a Missouri nonprofit organization which specializes in planning, designing, and building universally accessible playgrounds. Anyone interested in learning more about the efforts to fund and construct the new public playground in Macks Creek is invited. During the event, which will include light refreshments, information and designs will be shared. Unlimited Play will also be giving a presentation about the importance of providing the freedom of play for ALL children and families.
