Macks Creek was very successful at the PCL Conference track meet last week. The five athletes who competed all ran well and captured points.
Lady Pirates Addie Ratliff and Brooklyn Duggan both earned First Team All-Conference. Addison is the Conference Champ in the 1600 meter run. Brooklyn is the Conference Champ in both the 100m hurdles and the 300m hurdles.
The Lady Pirates trio of Addie, Brooklyn and Jade Stasiack took 3rd place as a team. Jade placed 4th in the 400 meter dash. In addition to capturing first in the mile, Addison took 2nd in the 3200 and 2nd in the 800 meter. In addition to her two first place finishes in the hurdles, Brooklyn took 6th in the 100m dash.
Pirate Caleb Phillips earned First Team All Conference and Pirate Jose Cortez earned 2nd Team. Caleb is the Conference Champ in the 3200 meter run. He also took 2nd in the 1600m and 3rd in the 800m. Jose took 2nd in the 300m hurdles, 3rd in 110m hurdles and 5th in the 100m dash. The Pirate duo of Caleb and Jose garnered enough points for the Pirates to finish 4th as a team at the meet.
Great job track athletes! Good luck when you compete at the Osage Invitational this Tuesday, the 18th, at School of the Osage High School.
