Macks Creek School's newest board member, Mrs. Liz Stoner was sworn into office this evening. Former Board President, Michael Parrack led her in the recitation of the oath of office. Mrs. Stoner shared the following:
I’m Elizabeth (Liz) Stoner and I have lived in Macks Creek for 15 years. I married Justin Stoner in 2008 and we have two sons Grayson age 13 and Garrett age 10.
I wouldn’t trade living in a small town for anything. I love the outdoors. My family and I frequently garden, forage for edible native plants, hunt, and fish. I also love to spend time watching my boys play baseball.
I grew up in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School in 2003. My parents were both hard working entrepreneurs and I started working for them at the age of 15. I am now co-owner of Normans Bridal with my mom Brenda Norman. I didn’t always think I would follow in their footsteps but after pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Missouri in 2007 I returned home and started again working in the family business.
I have a passion for creating a family-like work atmosphere with my staff while promoting professionalism as well as personal growth. I hope to use this knowledge as well as passion to create a better Macks Creek R-5 district for both students and staff.
Welcome to our School Board Mrs. Stoner. Our District is glad you have chosen to serve our amazing students!
