Freshmen members of Macks Creek FBLA have been researching community needs and planning ways to help meet those in need. Monday, October 2, twelve members visited Windsor Estates Nursing Home in Camdenton to lead fall activities.

Students and residents played Halloween bingo, bowling, table hockey, candy corn toss, air hockey, and more activities. Everyone had a great time and students are planning to return again around Christmas time. “Helping care for our seniors was the best experience,” said Brooklyn Downing, who helped organize the outing. “The seniors were so happy to have the chance to meet new people and one woman even said she hadn’t laughed so hard in a long, long time!”

The freshmen members have also planned a trip to help clean and organize donations at the Citizens Against Domestic Violence Shelter in Camdenton, and are also planning a donation drive to help local charities. Items donated will benefit residents at CADV, Bristol Manor, Helping Hands Homeless Shelter, as well as Lamb House, Share the Harvest Food Pantry, and Medical Missions for Christ.
