Macks Creek School's newest board member, Mr. Cody Stoner was sworn into office this evening. Former Board Treasurer, Jim Wehmeyer led him in the recitation of the oath of office. Mr. Stoner shared the following:
I'm Cody Stoner and I have lived in Macks Creek for 3 years. I married my wife Emily in 2014 and we have 3 children. Taegan (9) Aiden (8) Adalynn (4).
I grew up in Macks Creek where I was homeschooled until 6th grade. I then moved to Cleburne Texas with my dad John Stoner and attended 6th and 7th grade at Cleburne Middle School. After a family tragedy we moved to Lebanon, Mo. Where I attended Lebanon schools and graduated in 2006.
After graduation I joined the fire service where I served for 12 years between two different fire departments (Lebanon Rural FPD ) (Mid-County FPD) during this time I also worked at one of the local boat factories in Lebanon. After getting tired of the factory setting I started my career in corrections at Algoa State correctional center and over time moved to a detention position at Mary Dickerson juvenile detention center in Camdenton. Currently my wife and I own and run a daycare in Macks Creek that has been running strong for 2 years now.
In my free time I enjoy hunting and fishing with family and friends. I also enjoy coaching and watching my kids, nieces and nephews play multiple sports.
I would like to thank everyone for your trust in me for this position and I look forward to working with fellow board members to serve our community and students.
Welcome to our School Board Mr. Stoner. Our District is glad you have chosen to serve our amazing students!
