The High School Track & Field Team had a great showing at Saturday's District Track meet with two athletes advancing to Sectionals and others finishing the season strong by setting new personal records (PR's)!
Coach Salter highlighted the following:
This season our team consistently demonstrated a commitment to improvement. Izzy achieved four personal records (PRs) at the District meet in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and discus. Julian earned three PRs in the 100m, 200m, and javelin. Michael performed strongly in the long jump, shot put, javelin, and 400m, securing a new PR in the latter event. Thank you for a great season Izzy, Julian and Michael!
Kaelee achieved two PRs in the 100m and 200m, earning fourth place in the 100m and qualifying for Sectionals. Carter also earned two PRs in the 1600m and 3200m, securing fourth place in the 3200m and advancing to Sectionals.
Kaelee and Carter, congratulations on your top-four District finishes! We eagerly anticipate your performance at Sectionals on May 17th in Carl Junction, MO.
Bailey, Bode, Alexis, and Sebastian, thank you for your significant contributions to the team. Each of you demonstrated remarkable growth, pushing your physical limits throughout the season.
The team's dedication and pursuit of excellence have been truly inspiring to coach. Your hard work, commitment to mutual improvement, and unwavering challenge to me to improve have been exceptional. We look forward to continued growth and success in the 2026 track season.
