Our FFA chapter had an amazing experience at the National FFA Convention! Members attended leadership workshops, explored the FFA Expo, and learned about new opportunities in agriculture, college, and careers. We were inspired by keynote speakers and national award winners who encouraged us to lead, serve, and grow.

In addition to the excitement of the convention, students had the opportunity to participate in several agricultural tours that deepened their understanding of the industry. One of the highlights was visiting a local dairy farm and creamery, where members observed the full process of milk production—from caring for the herd to processing and packaging dairy products. Students gained a new appreciation for the technology, efficiency, and dedication involved in producing safe, high-quality milk and cheese.

At the honey farm, members learned about the critical role bees play in pollination and agriculture. They explored the steps of honey extraction and packaging and discovered how beekeepers maintain healthy hives while supporting environmental sustainability. This experience emphasized the connection between pollinator health and food production.

The group also toured an orchard, where they saw firsthand how fruit is grown, harvested, and prepared for market. Students learned about pest management, soil care, and how weather and technology impact crop yield and quality. Many were fascinated by how science and innovation shape modern fruit production.

Students also had a great time at the FFA Rodeo. It was a fun and exciting event where members got to watch rodeo competitions and spend time with FFA students from all over the country. The rodeo was a great way to relax, make new friends, and celebrate the FFA spirit together.

These hands-on experiences allowed members to see how classroom learning connects to real-world agricultural careers and helped them appreciate the diversity of opportunities within the agriculture industry. The convention and tours together helped us build leadership skills, make new connections, and return home motivated to strengthen our chapter and community.
