Thursday evening our Middle School Track Team opened the season at the Camdenton Middle School Warm-Up Invitational. Coaches Beeler and Sanderfer were impressed with the effort each athlete demonstrated. It is going to be an exciting Middle School season! Here are the results from Coach Beeler below:
Many athletes competed in the 100M Dash, the following is the list of athletes and their corresponding times. Maddie K (14.85), Kallie V(14.48), Brooklyn J(14.07), Braydlinn B(15.31), Gaven K(13.49), Victor N(14.59), and Chase G(12.46).
The following athletes competed in the 100M Hurdles. Maddie K(21.29), Kallie V(19.85), Allison H(29.6), Brooklyn J(20.53), Chase G(17.07).
Macks Creek’s own Victor N competed in the 200M Dash (31.09) and the 400M Dash (1.16). Gaven K also competed in the 400M Dash and grabbed a time of (1.08).
Jason B competed in the 800M (2.41) setting a new PR. Alejandra S competed in the 800M (3.03) and 1600M (6.36) finishing 3rd overall in both events. Kelsie G competed in the 1600M (8.19) setting a new PR.
Our lady pirates MS team, composed of Maddie K, Kallie V, Alejandra S, and Brooklyn J, competed in the 4x100M Relay and posted a time of (1.02) setting a baseline for the remainder of the season.
Macks Creek brought some eager long jumpers who received the chance to show off their skills for the first time this season, the following are the athletes and their distances. Jason B (4.48), Chase G (5.13), and Allison H who competed fiercely.
To round off our event our two Discus competitors threw for their first time this season. Gaven K (17.15) and Taylor C who got his first taste of competition this season.
This meet served as a baseline for all of our competitors and many saw new PR’s from last season. We had many top 5 finishes and a few first overalls in their respective heats by Chase G in the 100M Dash and the 100M Hurdles.
