Summer basketball in June was very successful for the our boys basketball program. The High School Basketball team was able to play seven total days of summer league games. We went to Branson, Springfield, Hermitage, Stoutland, and Webb City. Our goal this summer wasn't to win games, our goal was to set a culture and play harder than our opponents. After every game, we got compliments about how hard we played. The biggest compliment we got is how well mannered our basketball players were. This team is going to be a very exciting team to watch this upcoming basketball season and make the community of Macks Creek proud!
During the past month we moved the weight room onto the stage in the main gym. This has given us the ability to do more lifts and work outs than before. Basketball players that have been lifting this past month have enjoyed this more convenient and air conditionined space as they continue to get stronger and become better athletes.
The Middle School Basketball team was not
able to participate in Summer League games this year, but we were able to have a few practices. The players that were able to make it worked really hard when they were here. The focus has been upon fundamentals.
I am very excited for both the Middle School and High School Basketball for Macks Creek this upcoming year!
