Mr. Alvin Heathman (at right) presents Dr. Josh Phillips with a $10,000 check for MC students on behalf of Super Cat Fest 4 Kids.

The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout and Super Cat Fest joined forces over the summer to make the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Super Cat 4 Kids Dinner and Live Auction possible. When Super Cat Fest 4 Kids learned Macks Creek School would no longer be eligible to serve free breakfast and lunch to all of our students they reached out to learn how they could help. This year thanks to the generosity of Super Cat Fest 4 Kids, Macks Creek School received a check for $10,000 to help families who must now pay for breakfast and lunch!

Thanks to Super Cat Fest’s generosity, 31 of our students, who qualified for reduced lunch, are now paid in full for the remainder of the school year. Additionally, another 61 of our students received a deposit of $120 in their meal accounts to offset the price of meals for the rest of the school year!  After the loss of the Community Eligibility Program that ensured all students ate for free, many of our families just missed the “cut off” to qualify for free lunch and breakfast through the USDA’s Free & Reduced Lunch Program. Thanks to Super Cat Fest 4 Kids, this burden has been eased for 92 of our students who will continue to benefit from delicious and nutritious meals here at school.  Macks Creek School is humbled and grateful for Super Cat Fest’s support of our amazing students!
