Great running today MC Pirates! On the small schools side of the Laker Invitational, Caleb Phillips took 6th with a a PR of 17:29. Jose Cortez and Kyler Gabriel switched out of their football gear for a moment to race today. Jose finished 53rd with a time of 21:07. Kyler took 56th with a 21:27. Sean Green, who continues to make great strides, finished 70th with another PR of 27:24. Great job Pirates - we are proud of your hard hard work! #MCPirates

The MS Pirates and Lady Pirates traveled to Dadeville this evening to take on the Bearcats and Lady Bearcats.
In girls action it was the Lady Pirates who came away with a 38-24 win over their hosts. A slow start offensively in the first quarter for the Pirates was hard to overcome, as they fell to the Bearcats 40-27.
