Our Macks Creek student body came together today to give our Cross Country Pirates a special send-off as they head to STATE! The halls were filled with excitement, cheers, and plenty of Pirate pride as we celebrated these athletes and all the hard work they've put in this season.
We are proud of our individual qualifiers, Carter Ferrell, Karsyn Jensen, and Alejandra Sanchez, and our Boys Team: Sebastian Sanchez, Parker Christian, Fisher Wiethop, Mason Breshears, and Jason Bryant!
Best of luck tomorrow, Pirates! Run strong, leave it all on the course, and show them what Macks Creek is made of!

Our runners will begin at the end of the middle school hallway by the Ag breezeway and make their way down to the K-3 exit. Let's line the halls, bring the energy, and give these Pirates the send-off they deserve!

Archery information is coming home this week. Ms. Weeks has jumped in to work with our archery program. She is going to meet with those who indicated interest in the survey on Tuesday to send home program expectations and a student/parent contract. This contract must be signed and returned to the Elementary or high school office by November 5 to participate. No equipment will be needed until the week of November 16. Students will start with bow safety and basic skills before moving to the range. An initial practice schedule will be provided on Friday, November 6 (subject to change based on participation). Girls Basketball from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. HS Cheer from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Boys Basketball from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.

The Macks Creek Pirates are STATEBOUND! Our team ran a smart race, with everyone pushing themselves to secure crucial places to keep the season alive! Carter Ferrell and Karysn Jensen led the team finishing 4th and 18th respectively. Both young men punched their tickets to STATE with coveted top 30 All District finishes while garnering points to help the entire team advance. Jason Bryant, Sebastian Sanchez, and Mason Breshears passed key opponents with down to the wire sprints to build the team score to a fourth place finish overall! Parker Christian and Fisher Wiethop were close on their heels making sure their teammates didn't let up. It was an exciting race with everyone giving their all. Our entire team will race again at the MSHSAA Class 1 State Championships at MU’s Gans Creek Course in Columbia next Saturday. Congratulations team! #MCPirates

Congratulations to the Lady Pirates who ran well at the Class 1 District 2 meet this morning in El Dorado Springs. Allie Sanchez led the team and advanced to STATE!!! Kaelee, Kelsey, Izzy and Bailey all ran well and finished up a great season! Thank you Lady Pirates for your hard work and dedication! Congratulations to senior Bailey Allan who ran the final meet of her Cross Country career this morning in El Dorado Springs. Bailey is the daughter of Chris and Erica Allan. She has participated in cross-country for 4 years, cheer for 3, track for 2, choir for 2, National Honor Society for 2, and Pep Club for 1. After high school, Bailey plans on becoming an RN, and then becoming a CRNA. Her favorite high school memory was the times spent with her friends. Her favorite Cross Country memory was her first sub-30, last year at the Humansville Meet. She will never forget her track coach Becky saying, “Life is hard, get a helmet.” Some advice Bailey has for younger athletes is, “ Cross Country is a mentally challenging sport; if you keep up a good attitude and try to enjoy what you are doing, you can do great things.” Her favorite quote is, “Doubting yourself is normal; letting it stop you is a choice.” -Mel Robbins

Our amazing school community showed up BIG to make our first ever 'Say Boo to Drugs Trunk or Treat' a HUGE success!! ❤️
Participants, parents, teachers, and students burned off sweet treat calories by carrying their bounty from the parking lot to classrooms, busses, and cars. A special shout out to the Basketball Shootout Trunk 🏀, the Floor is Lava Booth 🌋, and the Fortnight Potato or Candy Trunk 🥔 for the added physical activity! 🤣 🍭🍫
*Our school nurse has requested toothbrushes are included in giveaways for next year due to the insane amout of candy our students aquired during the event.* 😁

Macks Creek School will host their annual Veterans Day assembly on Wednesday, November 11, starting at 9:00 a.m. A breakfast will be held at 7:30 a.m. for veterans who would like to attend.
