Missouri is currently awaiting approval on a new program called ‘Missouri SuN Bucks’, aimed at helping families buy groceries for their school-aged children during the summer. Families of students who were determined eligible for free or reduced-price lunch during the regular school year will receive a one-time $120 benefit per eligible student. At this time, Missouri SuN Bucks is pending approval. However, parents should start preparing for when the program launches. Back-to-School Clothing Give Away: First Baptist Church of Macks Creek is hosting a clothing giveaway for children and youth on Friday, August 2nd from 4 to 7 PM and Saturday, August 3rd from 9 AM to noon. In preparation, they are accepting
donations of clothing, shoes, backpacks, purses or anything school related in a nice, clean condition. Please drop donations off at FBC between 8-4, Monday through Thursday. This event is free to families with children. #MCPirates

They are raffling a canopy/raft bundle, a $25 Creekside Salon/Pirates Cove Put Putt/Bridal Cave Pass Bundle, a $25 Creekside Salon/$25 Casey's Card/Bridal Cave Pass Bundle, and a Drone/$25 Casey's Card Bundle!

Macks Creek baseball is holding open fields this week on Wedneday and Thursday starting at 9:00 a.m. Coach Snelling, the new Pirates' baseball coach, has said he would be willing to come earlier and stay later for any ballplayers willing to come out and get some work in. The Lady Pirates Basketball Team is playing in the Osage Summer League. They will play Crocker and Stoutland at 4:45 and 7:25 this evening at School of the Osage. Caleb and Jose made the most of their last few moments of high school this weekend at State Track & Field. Thank you both for a great season! #MCPirates
Congratulations to Jose Cortez who took 3rd at State in the 300m Hurdles! Jose ran an outstanding race, setting a new school record! He finished his senior year strong earning All-State today in both the 110m hurdles and the 300m hurdles. Great job Jose! #MCPirates
Caleb Phillips is All-State! Caleb finished his high school running career with an 8th place finish in the MSHSAA 1600 meter finals this afternoon. Caleb ran a season PR of 4:39 making it back to the medal stand one last time. He has stood on the All-State medal stand a total of 7 times. Well done and congratulations Caleb! #MCPirates
Jose Cortez is All-State! In this morning's final, he clipped the first hurdle, but persevered to take 8th place in the 110. Jose will race again in the 300m hurdle finals at 2:15. Well done and Congratulations Jose! #MCPirates
The Pirates are having a great day at State! Congrats to Jose Cortez who advances to the finals in the 300m Hurdles! Jose ran a solid race taking 4th in a field of 16 with 42.22. He will race in the finals tomorrow in the 110m and 300m hurdles. Caleb Phillips will race in the 1600m tomorrow as well. Good luck Caleb and Jose! #MCPirates
