The Macks Creek Fine Arts department will be hosting the annual Spring Music Concert and Art Show this coming Thursday, May 5. Performing in the HS Gym and starting at 6:00 p.m., will be the HS and Elementary Bands, Choir, and Choir on Fire. The Art Department will be holding an art show in the Adell LMC from 5:00-7:00. Original student artwork will be available for purchase with a percentage going to both the artist and the Art department. Come on out for a Fine Arts evening! #MCPirates

Good afternoon Pirates! The wrestling club will be hosting a fundraiser this week to help continue raising funds for wrestling mats. Students are able to bring in $1 each day and wear a hat. #MCPirates
The Macks Creek Floriculture team began their experience at FFA State by visiting Flower Works, Longfellows, and Strawberry Hills. Every stage of production was viewed. Students enjoyed purchasing plants and starting their own collections. They were rewarded for qualifying for state competition by receiving a steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse and a quick trip to Columbia Mall. After a five hour competition, the Floriculture team placed 39 out of 60 teams. Individual members, Obediah Tower, Makenna Campbell, and Daysha Brooks received Group II ratings. Students attended the third general session of the State FFA Convention and a trade expo on Friday, where they visited representatives of various ag businesses and universities. #MCPirates

Missouri State Highway Patrol has been in the health classroom conducting the boaters safety course to the 9th grade class for the past week. Students have been taught many important aspects of boating the waterways of Missouri to keep themselves and others safe. The Macks Creek Archery Program will hold their awards night tomorrow, Thursday, April 28, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Ag Shop at the school. They are celebrating the great restart of the Archery program. There will be awards and recognitions, refreshments, and activities on the range. #MCPirates
There will be a football meeting in the high school cafeteria here at Macks Creek sometime in May (TBD) before school lets out for summer. The start time will be 6:00 PM and the date of the meeting will come out next week. If your child plans to play football with the coop of Skyline, please be at the school with your child to meet and listen to Coach Griffin give you important information for summer workouts and the fall football season. This pertains to any 8th graders moving up to the 9th grade and all current 9th-11th grade students. #MCPirates

Lake Regional Health System will provide free sports physicals for middle and high school students at School of the Osage from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, and at Camdenton High School from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8.
Please ensure that any student thinking about participating on any athletic team in grades 6-12 next school year 2022-2023, can go have a free physical complete on the above dates, times and locations. This is a great opportunity for our students and a like our families to have this service provided to us.

Congratulations to the Macks Creek High School Track team on a great showing at this evening's meet in Buffalo! While seniors Molly, Adriana, and Morgan are away relaxing on the beach in Florida, the rest of the team worked hard to make them proud and claimed many medals. The 4x800m relay team of Caleb Phillips, Jose Cortez, Sigfredo Segarra, and Kyler Gabriel took first. Brooklyn Duggan set a PR and took first in the 100m hurdles. Obediah Tower followed suit and powered his way to first in the 110m hurdles. Brooklyn competed in the 100m dash for the first time and took second. Kyler had his inaugural run in the 400m dash and took third. Brooklyn earned another gold in the 300m hurdles and took second in the high jump. Obediah grabbed third place in the 300m hurdles. Caleb took his second gold medal of the night in the 800m run, during which he set a PR and broke our school record. Caleb also took first in the 3200m run. The 4x400m relay team of Kyler, Jose, Obediah, and Caleb finished out the night with a second place finish. Great job tonight Pirates! The team will run in their last regular season meet at School of the Osage's Warpath Relays this Thursday. #MCPirates

Two sponsors and thirteen members of the Macks Creek High School Class of 2022 embarked on the annual Senior trip this morning. The group met at the Springfield Airport at 4 AM and made their way to Destin, Florida. They have landed safely and are headed to the beach. We wish them all safe and fun week! #MCPirates
