The 9th Grade Macks Creek Pirates were "BLOWN AWAY" by Mr. John Page and his historically accurate Civil War cannon. Mr. And Mrs. Page joined the Freshman in their study on the American Civil War. Topics that were discussed were how the cannons were used, how they traveled, battles they were involved in, and the logistics of owning a cannon. Students got to see and touch the cannon and cannon balls. It was such an exciting experience that the 8th Graders also wanted a chance to see and get a photo with the cannon as well!
