The Pirates and Lady Pirates ran in the heat today at the Willard Invitational.
Caleb Phillips led the pack of Pirates with a time of 18:36, Jose Cortez was next running a career PR of 20:23, Kyler Gabriel set a 2021 PR with a 21:53 and Vaughn Vasquez set a season PR of 23:04.
On the girls side Molly Phillips led the Lady Pirates with a season PR of 24:02, next was Adriana Mayer with a season PR of 24:57, Taylor Rich ran a 31:22 and Maddy Kinney finished with a 37:51.
Way to go Pirates and Lady Pirates! They will all be in action again next Saturday, September 25th at Hermitage.

The Lady Pirates Softball team will be competing in the Weaubleau Softball Tournament starting Friday 9/17 and also Saturday 9/18. The ladies will play at 5 PM tomorrow and their second game Saturday will begin @ 9 AM.
Car wrecks are the number one reason children perish in the United States each year. To increase awareness, Child Passenger Safety Week is scheduled for the State of Missouri from Sept. 19th-25th. This is law enforcement campaign is designed to help reduce highway fatalities and serious injuries in children. Missouri law requires all children under the age of 8 to be in an appropriate child safety seat or booster seat unless they are 80 lbs or 4’9” tall. The proper use of a booster seat can reduce the risk of serious injury by 45 percent for children aged 4-8 years when compared with a standard seat belt by itself. Use of proper child safety seats provides children with the greatest opportunity to survive a crash. The home JH Girls and Boys Basketball game against Hermitage tomorrow night has now been slated to be played in Hermitage due to our gym floor being sealed. Girls will start @ 5:00 PM and the Boys will follow. Only 2 games will be played. #MCPirates
