It is back-to-school season and many students are in need of routine immunizations before returning to school. To assist parents, the Camden County Health Department (CCHD), in addition to their regular office hours, will be open until 6:30 PM every Tuesday and Thursday during the month of August. While it is not necessary to make an appointment, it is encouraged by calling (573) 346-5479. Parents are also asked to bring their child's immunization record and insurance information if applicable. Please note, the health department will not be present at our annual open house this year. Any parent seeking to update a child's vaccinations is encouraged to visit with their child's physician or consult with the officials at the CCHD before school starts on August 23rd. Our School Nurse, Mrs. Rachel Stubblefield, R.N., is also available to answer questions. #MCPirates

Free Light Fixtures: Macks Creek School is in the process of converting from fluorescent lighting to LED. Approximately two dozen 2 X 4 high-output fluorescent light fixtures are available to anyone who can use them for free. These fixtures were removed from the high school gymnasium. Each fixture takes four T5 Bulbs and includes a protective wire cover. They are stacked on the concrete pad of our outdoor classroom just to the north of the gymnasium and are available on first-come first-serve basis. Please do not contact the school to ask if the fixtures can be held. Macks Creek School makes no assurances as to their reliability. No one will be available to help load the fixtures and once removed, they may not be returned. Any fixtures remaining after Wednesday, June 30th will be discarded. #MCPirates
