The MS and HS ELA Teams travelled to Humansville to compete in the PCL Language Arts Fair tonight!
The MS team had a great performance with a tie for 4th place and a 2nd place win in the Spelling Bee by Skyler Whittaker!
The HS team had an impressive showing! First, Maddie Moos placed 2nd in the Spelling Bee! Trinity and Israel Husong competed in the Literary Comic-con and dressed as literary characters Atticus Finch and Clark Kent. Finally, The HS team put their knowledge to the test against the other 9 schools in the PCL in the trivia bowl but tied for 2nd place! After a tense spelling battle between Maddie and a speller from Walnut Grove to determine the winner, Maddie won and secured our 2nd place trophy!

Time to check those piggy banks! The Macks Creek School Library is hosting an 'All for Books' Coin Drive Challenge this week! Each day, students can bring in the set coins to try and help their class win the competition. Schedule for the week:

The two classrooms that collect the highest overall total will receive a prize. The winning classroom teacher will receive money to purchase books for their classroom library.

The Macks Creek 5th/6th Grade Boys Basketball team was back in action this past week in Wheatland. They fell in the Championship game against Skyline to finish in Second Place. #MCPirates

Today, the 7th-12th grade Macks Creek art students competed in the PCL art show. 33 out of 40 pieces placed, and there were 8 first place pieces. More art will be on display this Thursday for the K-12 art sale.
