Macks Creek baseball is holding open fields this week on Wedneday and Thursday starting at 9:00 a.m. Coach Snelling, the new Pirates' baseball coach, has said he would be willing to come earlier and stay later for any ballplayers willing to come out and get some work in. The Lady Pirates Basketball Team is playing in the Osage Summer League. They will play Crocker and Stoutland at 4:45 and 7:25 this evening at School of the Osage. Coach Houk is also hosting open gyms and will take teams to camp next month. Any girls interested in playing basketball next school year are encouraged to partipate. Congratulations to Jose Cortez who took 3rd at State in the 300m Hurdles! Jose ran an outstanding race, setting a new school record! He finished his senior year strong earning All-State today in both the 110m hurdles and the 300m hurdles. Great job Jose! #MCPirates
Caleb Phillips is All-State! Caleb finished his high school running career with an 8th place finish in the MSHSAA 1600 meter finals this afternoon. Caleb ran a season PR of 4:39 making it back to the medal stand one last time. He has stood on the All-State medal stand a total of 7 times. Well done and congratulations Caleb! #MCPirates
Jose Cortez is All-State! In this morning's final, he clipped the first hurdle, but persevered to take 8th place in the 110. Jose will race again in the 300m hurdle finals at 2:15. Well done and Congratulations Jose! #MCPirates
The Pirates are having a great day at State! Congrats to Jose Cortez who advances to the finals in the 300m Hurdles! Jose ran a solid race taking 4th in a field of 16 with 42.22. He will race in the finals tomorrow in the 110m and 300m hurdles. Caleb Phillips will race in the 1600m tomorrow as well. Good luck Caleb and Jose! #MCPirates
Jose Cortez advanced to the finals of the 110m hurdles at the MSHSAA Track & Field Championships today! At the start of the 16-man field, Jose was seeded 11th. He eclipsed his competitors with a PR of 16.01 to take 5th. Jose will race later today in the 300m Hurdle preliminaries. He will race in the 110 finals tomorrow to determine his place on the All-State medal stand! Great job Jose! #MCPirates
