Macks Creek students and staff were 'a couple of cowboys' today for Spirit Week's Cowboy Day! Cowboy hats, boots, jeans, and flannel shirts were all around as everyone continued showing school spirit! The Homecoming Olympics continued at full speed as today's action was dodge ball. The victors were the Junior class! Homecoming Spirit Week will conclude tomorrow with the annual class lip -sync battle, as well as the new run-through banner contest. Each class selected a Top Gun movie quote and have spent the week designing a banner. The top two will be used for the Varsity basketball games tomorrow.

The Homecoming basketball game tomorrow against Wheatland, February 3rd will begin at 5:00 PM. The order of games are as follows, 2 quarters of JV boys, Varsity Girls and then Varsity Boys.
Biddy ball games will be played at halftime of the girls game and Tommy Parrack will be recognized at halftime of the boys game for his coaching accomplishments throughout his career. #MCPirates
Things were a bit reversed at Macks Creek as students and staff participated in 'Backwards Day'! Everyone was dressed with hats, hoodies, shirts, uniforms, backpacks...you name it, they had it on backwards! The Homecoming Olympics also continued with the Reverse Scavenger Hunt. The Sophomore class came away with the win in today's contest! Tomorrow's movie line is, "You two really are cowboys." Theme is Cowboy Day! #MCPirates
Macks Creek archers brought home medals on Saturday at a competition in Skyline. Cash Stoner-Ehorn and Ava Willis each finished third in the Bullseye. Eva Willis took first in her Bullseye division and also shot a state-qualifying score. This was also the first time that archers competed in 3D shooting. Taeler Osborn took first in her division and Ava Willis took third in hers. Congrats to our Macks Creek archers! #MCPirates
Today was 'Top Gun' day for Homecoming! Students and staff dressed from Top Gun for spirit week. The Homecoming Olympics started today with Beach Volleyball. At the end it was the Seniors that emerged with the overall victory! A best-of-three was then held with the Seniors against HS faculty, where faculty came away with the win!

Its Homecoming Week at Macks Creek! This coming Friday, February 3, the Pirates and Lady Pirates will take on the Wheatland Mules and Lady Mules at 5:30 p.m. Homecoming Coronation will take place after games have been played. This year's theme is Top Gun. Dress up days for the week:

Following all ceremonies Student Council will be hosting a semi-formal sock-hop dance for grades 7-12 in the HS gym that will last until midnight. Tickets are $5/person. Students wishing to bring a date from outside the school will need to pick up a permission form and then have it completed and returned to the HS office by Wednesday.
