The Wrestling Pirates took to the mats on Saturday morning and had a strong showing at the Eldon JV tournament.
Junior Will Humphrey took 1st place with 4 wins. He pinned his first opponent from Marshfield in 44 seconds, won 6 - 3 in his 2nd match against another Marshfield wrestler, won 10 - 3 over Logan Rogersville, and finished with a 4 -1 over Southern Boone.
Junior Owyn Charlton finished 3rd in his bracket. He had pins over Marshfield and Moberly to start his day and earned his first tech fall (15 point win) over Southern Boone 16 -1. He fell in his final match against Centralia to end his tournament run.
Freshman John Bicknell went 2 - 3 on the day. He had dominating pins over Waynesville and Moberly. He was pinned by 2 opponents from Capital City and Marshfield and lost one match 16 - 2 against another Moberly wrestler.
Weather permitting, the Wrestling Pirates are looking forward to hosting Cole Camp on Tuesday, Jan 7. #MCPirates

Macks Creek Senior Brooklyn Duggan achieved a significant milestone in her high school basketball career, recording her 500th career assist during this evening's game against Leeton! She is a well-rounded player who recently scored her 1,000th career point. Congratulations, Brooklyn, on reaching two milestone accomplishments!
